Cover Announced — San Diego Memories III: A Time of Change — The 1960s and 1970s
We are proud to announce the final cover for our upcoming pictorial history book, San Diego Memories III: A Time of Change — The 1960s and 1970s.
The cover image was taken by photographer Thane McIntosh and provided courtesy of Union-Tribune. It shows well-wishers extending hands in greeting to Senator John F. Kennedy after he spoke at Horton Plaza on November 2, 1960. An estimated 20,000 attended with a scattering of Republicans carrying anti-Kennedy signs. In the lower right is California Governor Edmund G. Brown.
