As Southeast Texas braced for Tropical Storm Harvey, no one could have imagined the menace it would become. Harvey dumped up to 64 inches of rain on Southeast Texas, including more than two feet in 24 hours, making it the most extreme rain event in our nation's history.
The Beaumont Enterprise is proud to present Thousand-Year Flood: Harvey Wreaks Destruction on Southeast Texas; A Pictorial Account by the Photojournalists of The Beaumont Enterprise, a hardcover book that captures Harvey’s devastation and our community’s indomitable spirit to rise above. This 160-page book will feature breathtaking photos and compelling stories from the staff of The Beaumont Enterprise, who captured it all.
In addition to a previous donation of $250,000 to the Southeast Texas Food Bank, a portion of the book’s proceeds will go to the Southeast Texas Emergency Relief Fund.
