Due to the overwhelming response to "Winston-Salem Memories: The Early Years," Winston-Salem Journal is happy to announce a second hardcover pictorial history book, "Winston-Salem Memories II: A Pictorial History of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s."
We are proud to partner with the Old Salem Museums & Gardens, Special Collections & Archives at State Archives of North Carolina, Winston Salem African American Archive, Winston-Salem State University, and Z. Smith Reynolds Library at Wake Forest University. This heirloom-quality coffee-table book will feature a glimpse of the Winston-Salem area from 1940–1969 with a brief reprise of the early years, through stunning historic photos. In addition to images carefully selected from the archives of our partners, we are thrilled to include photographic memories from our readers.

Product was actually delivered a day earlier than expected. delivered in excellent condition. I feel like I paid too much @$300 for 2 of each, but it was worth it to see how much those I purchased for really enjoyed it.

Ordered it for a Christmas gift, so I haven’t looked at it.
I love to look at old pictures of W-S and so I enjoyed this book very much! I only wish there had been more.
If you were an alumni of W-S State or part of the Reynold's family you probably liked this book. Would have liked to have seen pictures of other neighborhoods and establishments around the city, schools, pools, restaurants,movies, hangouts, etc.

It was interesting to see photos from my era in this edition (#2). Inclusion of a wide span of the W-S population was appreciated (WSSU & East Winston). Collectively, we all are a part of the fabric of our community. Just 'bummed' that I didn't see a picture of me in the portfolio.
